Tom and Linda, I am deeply saddened by the passing of your son Chad.  I remember meeting him when my son Paul and I stopped by your house, many years ago when we were on our way to Lake Michigan.  I also met him a few years ago when I visited with you at the kitchen and bath show.  I could tell that you were  very proud of him.   I’m unable to attend the celebration of life today but Bev and I hope to see you and Linda when we visit Michigan next summer.  May you be comforted with the assurance that Chad is safely in God’s eternal care.  John 14:1-4

On behalf of the Savara family, we all want to express how sad we are to hear of Chad's passing. It's heartbreaking.  We have such fond memories of him in the high school years and on the Great Britain trip. Tom, Linda and all of Chad's loved ones, you will be in our thoughts and prayers during this very difficult time.  May you find that peace that passes all understanding.

Amanda - Although I only knew Chad a short time -- he is etched in my memory for ever.  Loved all the stories you told us at work (Bluelinx) about Chad and his giving heart.  He would bring treats to us all -- I added weight gain on my body because of that wonderful guy.  I'm so sorry for your loss and I'm so glad Tim and I were able to share some memories with you and Chad.  I'm here for your girl!!

Amanda and Family,

We feel so deeply saddened by Chad's passing.  He was such a caring and kind person.

When we went up north, on vacation with Amanda and Chad, "Chad's chicken" became rather iconic to my children.  When the kids tasted it they said it was the "best chicken that they ever had in their life".  Chad just beamed with pride.  For months every time I made chicken, they asked me how did Chad make his chicken so good.  Gavin announced, "mom, your chicken is good but nothing like Chad's chicken".   Aubrey sternly stated,  "Gavin, that's mean, but mom, Chad's chicken was really good."  When I told Chad how the kids were talking about his famous chicken months later, he said "I'll cook for you guys anytime!"

Many times Chad would come down, while Amanda and I were making crafts and cards, and bring us treat.  He always wanted to know what he could do to make our time together more enjoyable and would chat for a while. 

 I recall how proud he was when Amanda and him began making   soaps and various other products for Doty Essentials.  They would sell and give away the most beautiful gift baskets.  

We are all praying so hard for peace and comfort.  Chad will be sorely missed.

Chad was such a kind and loving person, hard working and loyal. Every time we ran into him, he had the most welcoming smile and was a pleasure to spend time with.  The world is a sadder place without his smile.

So sad to hear the news about Chad. I remember his shenanigans from high school choir trips, along with getting to know his parents, Tom and Linda. Great memories! He was a funny guy and a decent singer! Sending comforting thoughts and positive wishes to you all from California. 

I am heartbroken to hear about Chad’s passing.  To the entire Doty family, you are in my thoughts and prayers.  I hope that the love that Chad shared with all of us carries you through this difficult time.  I will alway cherish the fun (and mischief) that Chad and I had together.  Roaming through downtown on our bikes.  Swimming in the river.  And hours upon hours of adventures in the Geo Tracker.  He, and your family, showed me so much love and I will forever be grateful to have had his friendship as a part of my life.  

I have many, many fond memories of Chad from our high school cross country, choir and musical days. However, my fondest memory will always be going to prom with him as a freshman. He was always one to make me laugh! My sincere condolences go out to his family.  Hugs to you all. 

Chad was a one of a kind guy...he was always one of my favorite people as he shared his high schools years with our daughter Katie and her friends. Those fond memories will last forever.
