
POSTMA, Charles Harold Postma, age 81 of Wyoming, passed away and went to be with the Lord on Wednesday, January 17, 2007. He was preceded in death by his granddaughter Shannon Postma, his parents Harold and LaNora Postma and Anna Gray also his brothers Herbert and Earl Postma.
He is survived by his beloved wife of 58 years, Esther Oosterink; his children Charles A. Suzanne Postma, Linda Larry VanDeWege of IN, Renae Postma, Lance Mary Postma, Timothy Postma; 10 grandchildren, 7 great grandchildren; his brothers Alfred Margaret Postma of NC, Arnold Marna Postma of FL, John Marjorie Pausinga, sisters Angeline Draper of FL, Jo Ann Donald Huyser; sisters-in-law Ann Postma of FL and Lorraine Postma of Marne; and many nieces and nephews.
Chuck served in the Navy during WWII. He operated a crane for many years for Postma Gravel Co. and then Grand Rapids Gravel Co. Chuck excavated the gravel from the land that is now Millennium Park.
Funeral service will be held 1p.m. Saturday at Olivet Reformed Church. The family will receive relatives and friends 2 to 4 p.m. and 7 to 9 p.m. Friday at the Cook Funeral Home, Grandville, west building 4235 Prairie St. SW and one hour prior to services Saturday at church .
