Charles A. Purcell

Charles A. Purcell, age 91, went to be with his Lord, Saturday, May 21, 2011. He was preceded in death by his son-in-law, Harry Roelofs; his infant daughter, Kimberly A. Purcell; and his sister, Dorothy Purcell.

Chuck will be lovingly remembered by his wife of 60 years, Dot Purcell; his children, Kevin "Kipa?? Purcell, Kelly Roelofs; his grandchildren; Kevin Jr., Charles and Andrew Purcell, Ashley and Angela Morey; his sister, Jean Gust; and many nieces, nephews, relatives and friends.

Chuck was a charter member of Christ Lutheran Church. Chuck was a devoted Notre Dame fan; he served as an usher for the football games. His love for sports continued as he helped found the SKRA little league.

A time for visiting will be held from 7 to 9 PM Tuesday at the Cook Funeral Home in Grandville, 4235 Prairie St. SW (west building). Memorial services will be held 11 AM Wednesday at the Christ Lutheran Church, 2350 44th St. SW. In honor of Chuck, contributions may be made to Spectrum Health Hospice or Christ Lutheran Church a?"
