Charlotte Kay Otto, age 79, went to be with her Lord Friday, October 27, 2023. Charlotte was preceded in death by her parents George and Edith Andrews; son, Ernst Otto; siblings Wallace Andrews and Beverly Schrock (Andrews). She will be remembered by her husband, Ernst Otto; children Jennifer Otto, Tracy (Bob) Lawrence; grandchildren Lucas (Tori) Jonker, Kaleb Jonker, Roman Jonker, Holly Lawrence; many nieces, nephews, and friends.
Charlotte was married for 57 years to Ernst Otto. She graduated from Godwin High School and went on to become a secretary for many years. She will be remembered for her gift of music and enjoyed playing the piano with family and singing in her church choir. She and her husband sang and toured with the Metropolitan Choir of Praise from Grand Rapids. She enjoyed taking pictures, walks along Lake Michigan, exploring nature trails, and spending time with her grandchildren. Her faith in, and love for, her Lord and Savior is her greatest legacy.
Visitation with friends and relatives will take place from 4-7 p.m. Thursday, November 2, 2023 at Cook Funeral Home (West Building), 4235 Prairie St. SW, Grandville, MI 49418. A celebration of Charlotte’s life will commence 3 p.m. Friday, November 3, 2023, with visitation one hour prior, at Cook Memorial Chapel (East Building). You may join the livestream via the link on our website. Pastor Harry Koops will be officiating. In honor of Charlotte and in lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to Faith Hospice or Pine Ridge Bible Camp. Interment will be at Grandville Cemetery.
