

She will be lovingly remembered by her husband of 51 years, Robert; children Camille (Brent) Alles, Collette (Brian) Staal, Carla (Donald) Szubinski, and Brent (Paula) Stein; grandchildren Zachary Szubinski, Robert Stein, Cayla Szubinski, Weston Stein, and Katelyn Stein; siblings Sharon Larson and Cullen (Lola) Larson; in-laws Theresa (Keith) Kiel, Melvin (Alice) Stein, Dolores Stein, and Lewis (Colleen) Stein; and many nieces, nephews, and friends.
Charlotte was a graduate of Mercy Central School of Nursing and she was an adjunct professor of nursing at Grand Valley State University. She received a Bachelor of Science and a Master of Public Administration at Western Michigan University. Charlotte had multiple professional certifications. She founded and owned Catastrophic and Rehabilitation Management Inc. Charlotte was an active member at St. John Vianney Parish where she participated in the choir for several decades. She was a member of Nettles Island Nurses, Nettles Island Dancers, and the Senior Steppers of Wyoming, Michigan. Charlotte volunteered at Rosewood Elementary. She also enjoyed ceramics, golf, and spending time with family and friends.
Visitation with the family will be held from 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. on Sunday, December 1, 2019 at Cook Funeral Home, 2067 - 84th St. Byron Center, with a Rosary beginning at 7:30 p.m. Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 11 a.m. Monday, December 2, 2019 at St. John Vianney Church, 4101 Clyde Park Ave. SW, Wyoming 49509, with an hour of visitation prior to the service. Father John Vallier will be officiating. Interment will be at Resurrection Cemetery.
In honor of Charlotte, contributions may be made to Michael J. Fox Foundation for Parkinson’s Research.
