Chester Harvey

He was reunited in Heaven with his brothers and sisters, Howard Esther Harvey, Roy Harvey, Erma John Royce, infant brother Merle Harvey and brother-in-law Donald Rogers.

He will be lovingly remembered by his wife of 61 years, Pauline; his children, David Patricia Harvey of Grand Rapids and Pam Craig Miller of Jenison; his grandchildren, Jennifer Mike Rauschenberger, Joseph Harvey and Jason Sara Miller; great granddaughters, Marysa and Samantha Miller and Katie Rauschenberger; sisters and brothers, Evelyn Wayne Falan and Clifford JoAnne Harvey; sister-in-law, Bertie Harvey; several half brothers and sisters-in-law; and numerous nieces and nephews.

Chester worked for the State of Michigan as a civil engineer for 42 years.

Besides being a devoted husband, father and grandfather, he was active in many service organizations.

Mr. Harvey served as a member of the Golden K. Kiwanis; he was also past president of the West Michigan State Employee Credit Union and the Michigan State Employees’ Association.

The funeral service will be held at 1 p.m. on Saturday, July 24th at the Second Congregational Church, 525 Cheshire NE in Grand Rapids, with Rev. Bonita Zobeck officiating.

Interment in Georgetown Cemetery.

The family will meet with relatives and friends on Friday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. at the Cook Funeral Home west building 4235 Prairie St. SW in Grandville.

Memorial contributions may be made to Second Congregational Church of Hospice of Holland Home.
