In a very real sense, Chris took my sister's place in our hearts and in our family when Jeannie left this life nearly thirty-five years ago. I will always consider Chris my second sister and will be forever grateful for her unselfish role in the lives of our niece, Jodi and our mother especially. Chris leaves a big hole in our hearts that will never be filled until we meet again. She was the epitome of incredible strength and courage right to the very end. Our lives have been that much richer from having known and loved Chris Gordon.

To Chris's family, Although you wouldn't know me, I worked for Old Kent then Fifth Third Bank for many years. I knew Chris as this funny, caring, wonderful woman. I am so sorry to hear of her passing. Although I retired several years ago, I often think of her as we went through chemo with relatives and realize what a special person it takes to work every day with people fighting the battle. My prayers are with all of you as you say good-bye to her, but just know what an impact she had on so many lives over the years--mine included. Barb Steketee
