Cindy Sue Grusczynski, age 63, went home to be with the Lord Thursday, February 2, 2023, after a long battle with metastatic lung cancer. It would be wrong to say that Cindy lost her battle because she never stopped fighting. When anyone else would have been broken, she was determined in staying strong and never giving up. There was no quit in Cindy. Just because she is no longer here doesn't mean she lost the fight, she won the battle!
Cindy was preceded in death by her parents Harold and Kathryn Grusczynski. She will be remembered by her significant other, Kenneth Hadaway; son, Dylan Hadaway; daughters Amy (James) Palmatier, Michelle Grusczynski; grandchildren; great-grandchildren; siblings Debra Cole, Harold Grusczynski, Marcia Westhuis, and Steve (Laurie) Grusczynski; several nieces, nephews, and many friends.
Cindy was a loving mother who always enjoyed her family. She found joy in bird watching and taking care of her plants, but nothing beat her love for peacocks. She enjoyed listening to her rock and roll music, going camping, and taking vacations. Cindy was very outgoing and made many friends, whom she loved, throughout the years.
Visitation with friends and relatives will take place from 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. Tuesday, February 7, 2023 at Cook Funeral Home (West building), 4235 Prairie St. SW, Grandville, MI 49418. A Celebration of Cindy’s Life will commence 11 a.m., with visitation one hour prior to service, Wednesday, February 8, 2023 at Cook Memorial Chapel (East building). Interment will be at Chapel Hill Memorial Gardens. The family welcomes memories and messages in their guest book online at www.cookcaresgrandville.com.
