Cindy Marie Spoolstra (Brocato)

Cindy Marie Spoolstra, of Grand Rapids, Michigan, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, May 3, 2016. She is survived by her husband of 39 years, Lee; daughters, Shannon (Mike) Robertson, Stacy (Joe) Newcomb; granddaughter, Michelle Robertson; her brother, Dave Brocato; sisters, Gloria Wilson, Mary Ann Fournier; mother-in-law, Mae Spoolstra; brothers-in-law and sister-in-law, Gwen and Jay Klamer, Larry and Myra Spoolstra, Kent and Carol Spoolstra, Gregg and Reta Spoolstra, Jill and Keith Leslie, Jacqie Spoolstra; and many nieces and nephews.

Cindy was a wonderful homemaker and she loved cooking for her family. She enjoyed reading and collecting antiques. Cindy was able to make friends wherever she went, often striking up conversations with strangers in the grocery store.

Visitation will be held from 5 to 8 PM Friday at Cook Funeral Home in Grandville, 4235 Prairie St. SW (west building) and one hour prior to service. Funeral services will be held 11 AM Saturday, May 7, at Cook Memorial Chapel (east building). Interment will be at Blain Cemetery.
