

ClaraJo Braybrook (Price), “CJ” age 85, is now with our Lord. She entered His presence, Saturday, December 7, 2019. She was preceded in death by her husband of 62 years, Theodore Braybrook Jr; Her parents, George J. Price and Clara M. Price (Dunning); sisters; Zona (Merrill) Bailey; Susan (Henry) Hulst; Donna (Charles) Romick.
CJ was sincerely loved by her surviving children; Daniel Braybrook and his two children, Leah (Jon) Dubs and their two children Taya & Clark; Neil Braybrook and his son Bane; Lynn (Randy) Roelofs and their two daughters, Holly (Christopher) VanDalsen and son Maximus; Hope (Jordan) McCain; Julie Phillips and her two daughters, Kelly (Lance) VanHooren and daughters Lauren & Lily; April (Clayton) Brenner and daughter Carter; Jeffrey (Lisa) Braybrook and their four children, Kimberly (Michael) Dornbush, Jefferson, Seth and Tessa; Lisa White and her two children, Tyler and Alaina; Kurt (Vivian) Braybrook and daughter Chloe; brother-in-law, Roger (Sue) Braybrook; Stacey (Syrek) Swift and three children, Josh (Jenny) Swift and two children, Zoe & Norah; Helen (Keith) Welsh and twin sister, Claire (Josh) Potyraj.
CJ led a very active life of giving back to others and the community. She sang in the St. Pius X Church choir and was part of Christian Service for many years. CJ was also very active in sponsoring numerous Vietnamese refugees and provided tutoring in the English language. CJ loved country music and line-dancing, with her artistic gifts taught ceramic classes in her home for many years. CJ was a member of the local Red Hat Society.
A time for relatives and friends to visit with CJ’s family will be held Thursday, December 12th from 2-4 and 6-8 PM with a time of sharing memories concluding in prayer at Cook Funeral Home located on 4235 Prairie St. SW (West building) in Grandville. Family and friends visitation will be Friday, December 13th, at St. Pius X Catholic Church, 3937 Wilson Ave. SW in Grandville at 9 AM, with a Celebration of Life Mass at 10 AM followed by a luncheon at 11 AM in Danner Hall adjacent to the church sanctuary. Father Chris Rouech will be presiding. Interment will be at Resurrection Cemetery at 12:30.
In lieu of flowers and in honor of Clara Jo, contributions may be made to the Alzheimer’s Association or St. Pius X Church.
