I had Mr Anderson in 5th grade, many moons ago. He was my all-time favorite teacher. He would do Mad Libs with us, read books like Where the Sidewalk Ends, made a wooden plaque for is with our name carved into it, was always happy and gentle. I remember looking up his home number in the phone book and chatting with him. He never told me not to. He was more like a friend that year, than a teacher. My teachers before and after him were miserable, so he definitely made an impact. His family lost a star, for sure. Thank you, Me Anderson for being a part of my life.

I was so sorry to hear about Clyde's (Pete's) passing. I worked with him when he ran the Drivers Education program at GHS. He was such a sweet man. So easy to work with and had such a warm personality. So many people's lives have been enriched because they knew him. I know mine was. Connie Gary

Clyde was a wonderful guy- we have many special memories, especially when our kids were younger at Bill's Lake. What we appreciate most is that you always knew where he stood with the Lord. I'm proud to say Pete was my Uncle, and a wonderful uncle he was! Also, a fine example of a Godly family man! So many memories and stories he has left us. Sad tears for us left behind, but happy tears he is now with Jesus and his mom and dad (my grandparents)!

I am proud to say that Pete crossed my journey here on earth. I've known him over 45 years, loved playing soft-ball with him--a great man of God, my heart goes out to Gayle, Mark, Dan, and Sarah, along with extended family members. He touched many lives and I was honored to be just 1 of them. Many memories, I'll never forget him as my Sunday School teacher, friend and brother in Christ.

What an example! I wonder if one could count all the lives Pete impacted? I first met Pete at JBC. He was a great Sunday school teacher, and Elder. A tremedous godly example. I'm thankful to have known him. I know He'll be missed by family and friends but man, wouldn't you like to hear the song thats ringing out in heaven. Gayle and family our condolences.

I am shocked to hear of Mr Anderson passinh away. I dont think words can possibly explain the simply amazing man that he was. Truly. I still have my name plaque he made us all when he was my teacher at Cummings. And stilt walking will never be the same, thats for sure. My prayers and my love to the entire family! Thankyou for sharing him with the students for so many years...those of us lucky enough to have had him were and still are the luckiest! a��

I will always remember Mr. Anderson at Cummings Elementary! One of the most memorable years of grade school! Mr. Anderson was one of the most caring individuals and taught us well! The quote that he use to say to us many times was, "Today is the first day of the rest of your life"...I didn't quite understand the quote at the time, but it was forever etched in my memory!
 Thank you for being a great mentor in my life.

We are so thankful to have known Pete. We felt deeply cared about and loved by him and Gayle right from the beginning. It has been a blessing to know Pete as a man of God. We are so thankful for his blessed assurance of being with Jesus. This world is better because he was here and through the love of Christ he shared with all who knew him. He will be truly missed!

To the Anderson Family: What a wonderful person Mr. Anderson was and an awesome teacher. I remember him coming to Sand Creek Elementary for gym class and then to Cummings where he taught our gym class as well, he was always patient and fun loving person. Later in my teen years I was fortunate to have him as my drivers ed instructor and making a stop at Marge's for a donut. He will always stand out in my memories as one of my favorite teachers. Dear Anderson Family, It was my pleasure to have worked with Clyde at Grandville in Driver Ed. for a number of years. His gentle strength and love for kids was always evident in each and every decision he would make. I count it a rare privilege to have both known and worked with him over the years. Hi Gayle,
 Am so sorry for your loss as it seemed as though it was way too soon. But as we know, God has His ways and His timing in all things.
 Being raised the middle of three girls with no brothers, my Dad would have to hire the young guys to work on the farm, especially in harvesting corn. Clyde would come and pitch in. Many of my memories are from hanging out with Anna and Ben at their house in Wallace, because my parents were good friends of theirs. My dad always said he wanted to "go" like Ben who died on the way to the woodshed. He indeed did, dying in the kitchen right after breakfast.
 I know we've lost touch over the years, but Clyde, Peggy, and their parents had a huge influence on me as a youngster at Wallace church. I'm 65 now, so Peggy and Clyde were a bit older than me, but their testimonies still linger in my mind and heart.
 May you feel His strength in these days as you grieve your loss.
