Clyde J. Austin

AUSTIN - Mr. Clyde J. Austin, aged 76, of Byron Center, went to be with his Lord Friday, February 10, 2006. Clyde served with the US Army during the Korean Conflict. He was preceded in death by his wife, Goldie Austin. Surviving are his son, Duane of Byron Center; three step-children, Kay and Robert VanderPloeg of Wayland, Clara and Larry Kuk of Wyoming, MI, and Bill Young of Martin; sister and brother-in-law, Hazel and Bob Vickers of Wyoming, MI; and his special niece, Barbara Dave Northuis of Grandville. Graveside services, with Military Honors, will be held Wednesday, 11 AM at Fort Custer National Cemetery. Relatives and friends may meet Clyde's family Tuesday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 PM at the Cook Funeral Home, Byron Center Chapel, 2067 84th SW, Byron Center. In lieu of flowers, contributions in memory of Clyde may be made to the Masonic Home in Alma.
