Dale Edward Lothschultz, age 78, passed away peacefully on Saturday, November 15, 2025, in Coopersville, Michigan. Dale loved to tinker in his garage, fix and change things, not always for the better. He loved snowmobiling, co-owning his own snowmobile shop, Wright Sales and Service. He took an interest in anything with a motor. He was devoted to his job as a railroad engineer, so much so that every home he ever owned was near railroad tracks. He cared deeply for each cat and dog he had over the years. Dale proudly served his country in the United States National Guard. He was generous to fault with his family and friends and will be sadly missed.
He was preceded in death by his father, Edward; mother, Jean (nee Nordstrom); sister-in-law, Chris (nee DeMull); and brother, Ron. He is survived by his sisters Elaine (Tom) Stewart, Carol (Bill) Cherry, Patty (Ken) Alt, and several nieces and nephews.
The family would like to extend a special thank you to Fountain View Assisted Living and Medical Team Hospice, and especially Nikki and Ben, for their care and compassion for Dale.
Per his wishes, cremation has taken place and no services will be held. In memory of Dale and in lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Lori’s Voice. The family welcomes memories and messages at www.cookcaresgrandville.com in Dale’s online guest book.
