He is survived by his stepmother, Jenell Stalsonburg; siblings Karen (Dick) Young, Terry (Amanda) Stalsonburg, Sally Youells, and Valerie (Chris) Schleh; Peggy’s children Bonnie Drayton, Brandi Peters, Henry DeWitte, and Douglas DeWitte; grandchildren KC Beckett, Jacob Duke, Dahlia Beckett, Isabella (Alec) Miller, Lylla Peters, Brogan Drayton, Braden Drayton, Madison DeWitte, and Quinn DeWitte; great-grandchildren Emily June and Addalynn; as well as many cherished family members. Dale will be remembered for his strength, sense of humor, and unwavering love. He will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved him.
Dale was a devoted family man, passionate outdoorsman, and dedicated worker who truly lived life on his own terms. Whether he was casting a line into a quiet lake, sitting around a campfire, or tracking game through the woods, Dale felt at home in the great outdoors. He found peace and purpose in nature or his garage, and he shared that love with family and friends through hunting, fishing, camping, or cars, creating lasting memories.
A proud and loyal employee of Pridgeon and Clay, Dale worked for many years as a skilled welder. His work ethic was unmatched, and he took immense pride in doing the job right. He brought that same dedication to everything he did, including maintaining his yard, which was always trimmed to perfection.
Dale’s Harley Davidson was more than just a bike—it was freedom on two wheels. Riding gave him joy, and he treasured the camaraderie of the open road. Known for his arsenal of "dad jokes," Dale could make just about anyone laugh, even in the toughest moments. He was quick with a one-liner and had a warm, teasing grin that showed his good-natured spirit.
He also had a soft heart for animals and an unmatched talent in the kitchen; no one could beat his breakfasts. Whether it was sizzling bacon, crispy potatoes, or eggs cooked just right, Dale made Sunday mornings something to look forward to.
Dale married Peg in December 1992, and while Peg brought four teenagers to the marriage, Dale brought a dog and three cats. Peg says she got the better end of the deal. Above all, Dale was a strong presence in the lives of the grandchildren who came along. He was their protector, their teacher, and their hero. His legacy will live on in their stories, their strength, and their laughter.
Dale fought cancer the same way he lived: head-on, with courage, grit, and a sense of humor. He leaves behind a family who adored him and a life that will be remembered with pride and love.
Rest easy, Dale. Ride free. You will always be with us.
