Daniel was a young man of integrity, independence, humor, and faith. He honored his elders and daily sought out ways to help others. Even after being diagnosed with brain cancer at the age of 19, Daniel was never ashamed to tell anyone of the goodness of God.
Daniel was preceded in death by his grandparents Larry Steenwyk, Edward Eizel, and Alice (Lehnert) Eizel; and aunt, Mary Eizel.
He has left a hole in the lives of his grandmother, Pearl (Berkenpas) Steenwyk; parents Douglas and Catherine Steenwyk; sister, Esther (Caleb) Clack; brother, James Steenwyk; aunts Lisa Steenwyk and Lenal (Larry) Czerniak; uncles Peter Eizel, John Eizel, and James Eizel; cousins, and church family.
