Daniel Joseph Stitt, age 70, passed away on Sunday, February 14, 2021. Dan was preceded in death by his parents Raymond and Anne Stitt and his older brother, John. He will be lovingly remembered and sadly missed by his wife, Martha Jayne (Graves) Stitt; son, Benjamin J. Stitt; daughter, Anne F. Stitt; siblings Robert Stitt, Raymond and Mary Stitt, Stephen Stitt, Ronald and Judy Stitt, Rosemary Stuck, Phillip and Eva Stitt, Joanne and Bob Stille, and James and Jill Stitt; sister-in-law, Heidi Sremba; aunts Ruth Plocharczyk and Donna Anderson; and many nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.

Dan loved basketball, and in high school had the record for 30 rebounds at Saugatuck High School. As a young man, he was a disc jockey for local radio stations, including WHTC in Holland. He was known for his sharp wit and funny jokes and he was a very good public speaker. He was a member of Holy Redeemer Catholic Church in Jenison.

A Celebration of Dan's Life will take place in the near future, with time and date to be determined. In honor of Dan and in lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the American Heart Association (www2.heart.org).
