

Darryl served his country proudly with the U.S. Navy during WWII. He was born June 15, 1927 in Bonne Terre, MO to Harry and Bernice (Hobaugh) Lawson.
He was preceded in death by his wife of 60 years, Erma Lee (Scheifer) Lawson formerly of Piedmont, MO; and his sister, Darleen (Lawson) Goodhart Stevens of St. Louis, MO. Surviving are his children, John (Gayle) Lawson of Newport, MI, and Patricia (Robert) Hammond of Lockport, IL; step grandchildren, Melinda, Christopher, Benjamin, and Victoria; step great grandchildren, Levi, Zeke, and Addison; his brother, Dale (Doris) Lawson; numerous nieces and nephews.
A memorial service for Darryl will be held 11 a.m. Saturday, July 9, 2016 at the Cook Memorial Chapel (East building), 4235 Prairie, S.W., Grandville, MI. Relatives and friends may meet his family Saturday from 10-11 a.m. at the Chapel.
