David Berry, age 88, went to be with his Lord and Savior Saturday, March 30, 2024. He was preceded in death by his wife, Nancy Berry (Borrello); siblings Phyllis, Mike, Gordy, Dick, and Bob; son-in-law, Marty Kuypers; granddaughter, Heather “Gina” Meyer. He is survived by his children Robin Berry (Cindy Lewis), Rhonda Kuypers, and Richard “Scott” (Sandy) Berry; grandchildren Kristen (Matt) Crawford, Rick Berry, Jason (Nicole) Berry, Heather (Caleb) Claybaugh, Ben (Jenny) Lewis, and Lisa (Dylan) Moore; 14 great-grandchildren; brother, Rodger Berry; and many nieces, nephews, and friends.
David proudly served his country in the United States Air Force during the Korean Conflict. He worked in the construction industry. He had a great sense of humor. He enjoyed golfing, bowling, playing cards and games with his kids and grandkids. He enjoyed snowmobiling and motorcycling at the cabin he built in Irons. He enjoyed going south for the winters - especially with all his kids. He loved going to the casino every Friday morning with his daughter. He enjoyed his time in Ludington and Silver Lake with friends and family. Most of all, he loved his family.
A memorial service will be held 11 a.m. Thursday, April 4, 2024 at Cook Memorial Chapel (East Building), 4235 Prairie St. SW, Grandville, MI 49418, with visitation from 10-11 a.m. prior to service. The family welcomes memories and messages at www.cookcaresgrandville.com in their guest book online.
