David touched me in way that very few others have in his remarkable attitude to serve those in need and to ask to help time and time again. He would ask for time off from work in a heart beat to go to places like Moore OK to help tornado diaster victims. He wanted to help out recently with the Kentwood tornado. It didn't matter if it was Haiti, OK, or Grand Rapids he wanted to help and make a difference. The world is a better place because of David's foot prints and his memories will be a motivator to others to carry on!

David was such a help to my daughter and me when we had some tree damage after a storm. He and his sons came over to help chop up and drag the branches. He also was on a mission trip we took to Mexico, and was an integral part of the team. He was such a good man, and he will be missed by many. Certainly deserving of the title, "Good Samaritan." Gone too soon, but in heaven for certain!

I was privileged to have had David as a student back in March in our FLAME program for ordination in The Wesleyan Church. I was immediately arrested and moved by David's obvious passion for Christ and wanting to make a difference in the world. He was very earnest in his desire to grow spiritually and personally. I enjoyed our follow-up emails suggesting books to read for personal growth and his stories of outdoor adventure. I did not know him long, but felt the force of his personality and sensed a kindred spirit in many ways with this good man. My prayers are with his family, friends, and church. May God bless you with His provision through Christ and the Church Body.
