Dawn Elen Fowler

She will be deeply missed by her husband of 34 years, Wayne Fowler; daughter's Tera and Nanda Fowler; mother, Doris Dewitt; sister, Dian DeWitt; father-in-law, Roland Fowler; sister-in-law, Linda Tim Telder; brother-in-law, Rich Fowler; and great uncle, Alfred Lick. She will also be missed by many cousin's and close friends. Dawn struggled with Auto-Immune Hepatitis and it's complications for the last 10 years. She lived a very full life. She loved and was loved. She laughed and made people laugh. We also cried with her at times. It has been the richest of experience's. Dawn would want us to celebrate her life, not to mourn it. The friendships she developed were the most precious things to her. Her immediate family were lucky to be her dearest friends. She had enough love to share with everyone including all of you out there.

A letter to Dawn from a close friend, read: Dawn, your sunny countenance has always thrilled my soul whenever we saw each other. I consider myself extremely fortunate to have been the frequent recipient of your twinkling eyes and exuberant greeting. Your smile is special and so genuine. Thinking about your chipper face makes me smile every time I recall how it lights up a room and makes others feel special too! Your ability to transfer happiness to everyone around you was the best I have ever seen... truly amazing. The whole world would be an incredible place if everyone had your sense of sharing and warmth.We can all learn a lot from you and your effortless ability to look for the brighter aspects of any situation and the positive traits of anyone we meet. It is a rare gift and one that I have tried to emulate over the years. Thank you for being such a good influence on so many other people.

Memorial services will be held Friday, 11 AM at the Cook Memorial Chapel east building, 4235 Prairie SW, Grandville, with Pastor Michael Brown officiating. Relatives and friends may meet her family Thursday from 2-4 and 7-9 PM at the Cook Funeral Home west building and Friday from 10 AM until the time of her memorial service.
