Dena Smith

SMITH (Bouwman) a?" Dena Smith, age 89, of Wyoming, went to be with her Lord and Savior on Saturday, August 18, 2012. She was preceded in death by her parents, William and Hattie Bouwman; husband, Earl Smith; and son-in-law, Thomas Wardall. She will be lovingly remembered by her children, Sue Wardall, Sandra (Kenneth) Grantz, and John (Jane) Smith; grandchildren, Kathy Duron, Rob (Klara) Grantz, Lori (Jeremy) Bosch, Andy (Anne) Smith, and Amber (Andrew) Drake; great grandchildren, Hailey Wardall, Brandon Duron, Sadie Duron, Olivia Duron, Owen Drake, Margaret Rose Drake; sister-in-law, Margaret Bouwman, and many nieces and nephews.

Dena loved her years working at the Wyoming Park Pharmacy and making quilts with her quilt group. The last few years were spent at Byron Manor where she was lovingly cared for by their staff.

A Memorial service will be held 11 am on Friday, September 7, 2012, at the Bethel Lutheran Church, 3655 Wilson SW, Grandville. The family will meet with relatives and friends one hour prior to the service at the church. Memorial contributions may be made to The Bethel Lutheran Church.
