JUST DROVE BY MY CHILD HOME ON HORTON. THOUGHT ABOUT DENNIS, I LIVED TWO HOUSES NORTH FROM ANDRE. LAST TIME I SEEN DENNIS WAS  IN THE EARLY 80'S. I GOT INTO THE TRUCKING BUISNESS AND FOUND DENNIS WORKING AS AN AGENT FOR A CARRIER IN SOUTHERN OHIO.  I GOOGLED HIS NAME AND HORTON. I AM SO SORRY THAT DENNIS PAST AWAY, HE WAS A PART OF MY CHILDHOOD THAT WE ALL LOOK BACK TOO. TOO  HIS FAMILY AND FRIENDS  WE HAVE LOST A GOOD MAN. WE DO HAVE THE MEMORIES.

Was looking to connect with you and just found out about your passing Brother. We met in Bien Hoa, Vietnam and were told we were being sent to a place called "Rocket City" and the 45th Surg. We grabbed a chopper and jumped off in the middle of nowhere & were told that someone would come get us. We were a couple scared puppies. We finally got picked up and the adventures & misadventures began. We got to know each other sharing a hootch. You were a great guy and a good friend. You also helped save a lot of lives with your skills. Although 'Nam took its toll on you you carried on afterwards and left this world in a better place just be being here. RIP, Brother 'till we meet up again, definitely better that the first meeting.

We had been sharing stories and thoughts on face book, Dennis was with the 45th Surgical Hospital Tay Ninh Vietnam, those of us who served with him will miss him.

There are certain extraordinary people who touch the lives of those they know in a unique way. Knowing them brings us joy and inspiration. Denny was one of those people. I am grateful to have known such an intelligent, humorous, easy-going, considerate, passionate, and patriotic gentleman. I always appreciated his service to our country.

Denny will never be gone… he has a cherished place in our hearts where he will always be remembered for the love he shared, and the happiness he brought. Memories of all Denny offered will remain with us.

Denny and I knew each other in high school and later kept in touch through Facebook. He often shared with me just how precious Emily was to him. I hope with time Emily and Sheila will be able to cope with this tragic loss.

I met Dennis in Vietnam in 1970. Our friendship was the only good thing about my tour. We stayed in touch over the years and visited each other several times as well thru phone calls and later Facebook. I will miss him, to say the very least.
My heart goes out to Sheila, Emily and Larry.

I am so sorry Sheila, Emily, & Larry. It is so very difficult & painful, to lose the physical presence of a loving husband, loving father, or loving brother.
 I went to St Francis & CC with Denny. My mom played bridge with Denny’s Mom, Florence. I remember Denny’s quiet and kind spirit towards everyone, which was occasionally accompanied with, a  sense of mischief! I am grateful for his service to our country.
 Praying now, and in the days ahead, for you, Sheila, Emily,& Larry.

I am so sorry to hear about Denny's passing.  He was such a great guy.  I went to grade school and high school with him and always he was a good guy.  I have many memories of him sprawling out his long skinny legs in too small desks. His "attitude" of cool aloofness was ever-present but underneath was a kindness you just could not miss.
My memory of him which I believe may be one of the few times I saw him since high school was in  70's or 80's getting on a plane and seeing him.  We sat together and visited.  At the time I was feeling anxious about something and his laid back attitude was very calming.  We had lots of laughs. For me it always is a happy memory of people being in right places and the value of serendipity in our lives.
Anyway I wish you all many happy memories of Denny as you say your goodbyes.  May he rest in peace.

Dennis was my older cousin, I always looked up to him and thought he was the definition of "cool", he was a great husband, father, and friend. A man who served his country in Vietnam and later counseled fellow vets. I am so sorry that he passed away before his time, it reminds us that ever day we have is precious. Denny and I used to have snowball fights on Horton St. Played street ball too. I worked for his Dad at Fox’s and got to know where he got his humor from. You will be missed - rest easy friend!

Denny was not only my uncle, he was also a very good friend,  someone I could talk to about anything. I will miss his humor and all of his crazy stories about events and times that helped shape him into the person he was. Very intelligent, never looked down on anyone for any mistakes that person had made. He could get along with anybody, except maybe one person and if you knew Dennis well, you will know who I am referring to. Love you uncle Denny, you will be greatly missed.

Denny and my dad go way back and my dad always talked about all the fun they had together. Denny also left such nice notes for me on Facebook. The last was a video of a bunch of kittens he said to make me and my daughter smile.

Dennis and I went to high school together. He was one of the ultra cool guys. Although I didn't know him well then, we became facebook friends and found we had a lot in common. Alle, Denny, and I would fight the good fight for the liberals. It won't be the same without him. My prayers go to his wife and daughter. Denny, get the liberals organized in heaven and say hello to our old friends who join you there.
