Dennis Craig Irwin

Dennis C. Irwin went to be with his Lord and Savior September 29, 2022. Dennis had served his country in the US Air Force from 1966-1969. He retired from his career as an owner in the transportation industry in 2013. During his retirement, Dennis was a very active member and volunteer at New Day Christian Church in Port Charlotte, FL. He helped many in the homeless ministry, new member visits, and made many feel welcome as a greeter. He was always willing to lend a helping hand to those in need. He was very active in his community, including being president of his HOA.

Dennis is survived by his wife of 43 years, Loretta (Dolly); daughter, Brook (Mike) Leach; grandchildren Brett (Olivia), Elaine, Madeline, and Samantha. He will also be missed by his three great-grandchildren Wyatt, Jocelyn, and Paisley; and siblings Diane (Jim) Breeden and David (Lynn) Irwin.

Celebration of Dennis’s Life will be held from 1-2 p.m. Saturday, October 29, 2022 at Cook Funeral Home (West building), 4235 Prairie St. SW, Grandville.

In honor of Dennis and in lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to New Day Christian Church, (Attn: Steve Debona) 20212 Peachland Blvd., Port Charlotte, Florida 33954.
