Dennis was a member of Hudsonville Reformed Church. He enjoyed life to the fullest, especially hunting, fishing and traveling. An entrepreneur, he started Vredevoogd Heating and Cooling in 1964.
Visitation with the family will take place from 2 - 4 and 6 - 8 p.m. on Sunday November 24, at Cook Memorial Chapel (East building), 4235 Prairie St., SW, Grandville, Michigan. A brief period of visitation will also take place at Hillcrest Christian Reformed Church, 3617 Hillcrest Rd., Hudsonville, MI on Monday from 10:00 - 10:45 am with funeral service following at 11 am.
A SPECIAL NOTE: The Lord, in His perfect timing, called home daughter-in-law Holly’s father, Marvin Van Emst only hours before Dennis. Given the close family ties and shared friendships we will be holding a joint visitation and funeral.
In honor of Dennis and in lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Hudsonville Reformed Church Benevolence Fund, or Waterford Place.
The family wishes to thank nurses and staff of Faith Hospice and Waterford Place Assisted Living for their loving and compassionate care of Dennis.
The family welcomes memories and messages in their guest book on line at www.cookcares.com.
