Diane Kay Maring, age 66, went to be with her Lord on Friday, November 13, 2020. Diane will be remembered by her husband of 44 years, John Maring; children Steve (Irina) Maring, Christine (Eli) Lake, and Jason (Amanda) Maring; grandchildren Claire, Chloe, Dane, Evan, Anna, Andrew, and Iris; siblings Donna Machiela, Jim Machiela, Shirl (Rich) Miner; many nieces, nephews, and friends. She was preceded in death by her parents Donald and Ruth Machiela, and her sister-in-law, Margery Machiela.
Diane will always be remembered for her generous personality, sense of humor, and great love for her family and friends. Her family will always remember all the memories from family get-togethers, especially how Diane always tried to make things fun for the grandkids. Diane was also very talented at creating sewing projects and often gave these away to family and friends. Diane always stayed optimistic and strong, even when her health began to decline. Her many wonderful qualities were the “glue” that held the family together and she will be irreplaceable.
A Celebration of Diane’s Life will take place in the near future, with time and date to be determined. In honor of Diane and in lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the First Christian Reformed Church of Hudsonville. Interment will be at Georgetown Cemetery.
