Donald was born May 26, 1940. He served in the United States Marine Corp and was always proud to talk of his service to our country. Donald was retired from Swanson Pickle Company where he worked for many years and loved the work he did.
Donald is preceded in death by his parents Mildred and Sherman Barnes, and the love of his life, Janet Barnes.
Donald is survived by his children Michael (Sandra) Barnes, Michele (Roger) Davis, Stacey (Mark) Loew, Robin Vasquez, and Daniel Hargrove; grandchildren Donald, Mark, Brittnay, Shane, Shantel, Brandon, Brandea, Racheal, Deneal, Dana, Danielle, Hunter, Caleb, and Ashley; and many great-grandchildren.
The family would like to thank the staff at Life Care Center of Plainwell for the dedication and care they provided Donald.
A Celebration of Life will take place at 10 a.m. Friday, November 16, 2018 at Resurrection Cemetery in the Chapel located at 4100 Clyde Park Ave. SW, Wyoming, MI 49509.
Memorial Contributions in honor of Donald may be made to Great Lakes Hospice.
