Donald Garrett DeBoer

DE BOER-Donald "Garretta?? DeBoer age, 76 of Allendale, Jenison, and a resident of Cambridge Manor South for the past four years. He was born in Whitinsville, MA, passed into glory, Monday, January 10, 2011.

He is survived by his loving wife of 48 years, Ann (Zigterman); his son Tim (Heather) DeBoer and granddaughter Sarah of IN and his daughter Rev. Deb (Mike) DeBoer-Fagan of CA; his sister Elsa Vander Ploeg of Holland, MI and brother Robert (Oveta) DeBoer of Denver; in-laws Val (Bob) Frank of Jenison, Norman (Mary) Zigterman of OH and Nick (Marlene) Zigterman of Cascade; and many nieces and nephews.

Don worked at BASF for 30 years before retiring and was active in Habitat for Humanity and the Grand Forum of GVSU. He loved singing in the Grand Rapids Symphonic Choir and in his church choir for many years.

There will be a Memorial service at 11 am at Central Reformed Church, 10 Fulton NE, MI 49503, with Pastor Lou Lotz officiating.
