Donald Jake Lane

Donald Jake Lane, age 79, passed away, Sunday, January 1, 2017. He was preceded in death by his parents, Lucius and Margaret Lane; his sister, Judy Van Buren; and his brothers-in-law, John Tuttle and Carl Van Buren.

Don is survived by his wife of 49 years, Jane Lane (Tuttle); his daughters, Wendy (Todd) Baylor-Anderson, Jennifer (David) Blaszak; his grandchildren, Logan Baylor, Jenna Baylor, Blake Anderson, Erick Anderson, Greenly Blaszak, Grant Blaszak; his sisters, Margaret (Edward) Bruursema, Mary (Russ) Peters; his brother-in-law and sisters-in-law, Kenn (Carol) Tuttle, Mary Burkhart; and Fred the Cat.

Don loved to hunt and fish, especially duck hunting. He enjoyed golf, and was very proud of his Hole-in-One. Playing cards was a fun pastime for he and his friends and family. Don was a regular at Visser YMCA. He was a sponsor of Ducks Unlimited and member of the Macatawa Bay Duck Hunters Club.

Funeral services will be held 10 AM Saturday, January 7, at Cook Memorial Chapel in Grandville, 4235 Prairie St. SW (east building). Visitation will be held from 4 to 7 PM Friday at Cook Funeral Home (west building). Interment will be at Georgetown Cemetery. In honor of Don, contributions may be made to Ducks Unlimited or Visser YMCA.
