He was the best uncle ever. I'll miss him a lot. To his family, I'm so sorry for your loss.

My 18th. birthday was celebrated at Uncle Don's. I was in nurses' training at Butterworth hospital and rode the bus from downtown to Division Ave. and 68th. St, where he met me at the bus stop on many a weekend. Sometimes I would babysit for Steve, Donnie, and Laura, so he and Aunt Lorraine could go out. On Sunday's we went to Holy Trinity Mission for services. But, on my 18th birthday Uncle Don gave me my first "adult beverage", a martini! He made really good martinis!

Growing up with Uncle Don showed a vibrant active talented man who loved his family. Big family picnics were celebrated at his house where volleyball would be played by all! And seeing his lovely gardens, a talent he passed on to his sons, was always a welcome sight, especially his rosebushes! Time shared with my extended family up in Bel Aire, Mi was always a treasured vacation with a heck of alota of relatives. Fish fries, boat rides with Don as captain to neighboring torch lake, and playing cards were some of my fondest vacation memories that repeated over my years as a teenager to married life. I shall cherish the memories of Don and send my sincere condolences to Marilyn and my cousins.

Uncle Don was always the one who talked to me as if I was grown up - even when I was just a kid. He was always interested and more important to me interesting. He knew so much about almost anything. I remember listing to him give Grandpa Marsh some advice about woodworking and Grandpa listened. A favorite Uncle who was kind and accessible.

Dad He was always Dad to me. My first ever prime rib dinner at the 68th street house. Never had I tasted anything so wonderful, " more please sir" I asked. He got a big kick of my drooling!!!! Love you and miss you DAD. Xxxxxooooo

Dearest Marilyn and family members of Don Marsh,
 Our hearts were saddened when we heard of the sudden passing of Don. We are so grateful for the visit we shared with Marilyn and Don a few weeks ago at Byron Manor. Don was always a very warm, loving, caring and genuine person. He was a joy to visit with and we will hold on to our many past memories.
 We remember when you purchased your condo here at Amber Creek several years ago and thought you were going to be our next door neighbors and soon found out the disappointing news that you ended up 5 condos to the south of us, but that didn't stop us from becoming good friends and neighbors. One great memory we have is: Spending a month of quality time together with you and Don in Avon Park FL. . The bible tells us, before we are even conceived; He knows the day He will call us home. It may not have been our time, but it was God's time to call Don home. Heaven has gained a child of God, and may you find comfort in knowing that Don is resting peacefully in the arms of his Dear Savior with a sound mind!
 We will continue to keep you and your family in our daily prayers for hourly comfort as you mourn Don's absence. May the heartfelt sympathy of friends and loved ones too, give you strength enough to bear the loss and may His presence give you strength as your trusting in His power.

Some of our fondest memories are of the Marsh/Bogardus family picnic's at the 68th Street house on Memorial and Labor Day. Your dad was always happy and had a smile for everyone even in that giant crowd of people.
