Donald R. Miller, aged 87 of Hudsonville, MI, was called home by his Lord and Savior October 12, 2025. Born April 26, 1938 in Sparta, MI to Walt and Mary Miller, Don, an educator and teacher at heart, was described by friends as “a true sport in every sense of the word.”
Don was preceded in death by his son, Douglas Miller, and sisters Janice Dennis and Nancy Bugenske.
He will be lovingly remembered by his wife, Norma; daughter, Lynnell (Jeffrey) Wiemert of Astoria, OR. He is survived by grandchildren Christopher Wiemert of Astoria, OR; Barbara (Zach) Renninger of Amarillo, TX; Sarah (Jacob) Wiemert-Hertz of St. Petersburg, FL; Kathlyn (Michael) Miller-Hubbard of Raleigh, NC; and Hannah (Chris) Pernell of Raleigh, NC. He is also survived by treasured great-grandchildren Zoey, Ryan, Gemma, Luke, Ellis, Jason, and Callen; sister Marilyn Whyatt, of Howard City, MI; and many nieces and nephews.
The family would especially like to thank the wonderful staff at Waterford Place as well as Faith Hospice for their loving care of Don during the past few months.
A formal service is not scheduled at this time. If desired, donations are suggested to the American Diabetes Association (P.O.
