Dear Veltman Westra Family,

What great memories we made together!!!  

Once we moved in the late 1940's to Grand Rapids, to Boston Square, we cousins would explore Grand Rapids together, sleep over at each other's houses, went to GRCHS together, double dated together, both worked for architects, participated in our wedding together, raised our babies together, and then our family moved away.  However, 40 years later, we moved back, kids grown, and in our senior years, we picked up as tho we never parted!  

Our earthly reunions and parties will not be the same!  Looking forward to our eternal reunion in heaven, dear Cuz, as you always called me.

In the 20 years that Donna worked at Forgotten Man Ministries, one of her tasks was taking care of the Correspondence Bible  Courses.  She showed tremendous Christian compassion to the inmates and chaplains we served.   She made sure their courses were sent to the right facility or followed up to their home when they were released and mailed out their  supplies to the chaplains.   Donna was a joy to work with and became a close friend to the staff and volunteers who came in to help with sorting and sending out materials. 
P.S. May God bless you Tom and your family with a peace that passes all understanding.  She is missed on earth but we know she is praising her Lord and Savior with her beautiful voice.  Deepest Christian Sympathy, Marilyn Terpstra

 I am too full of things to say.  Really, there are no adequate words.  I am full of gratitude for the life of my beloved cousin.  She loved her husband's family as her own.  She loved each and every one of us and was like a daughter to my mother during all of her years in Assisted Living... and finally in Nursing care at Porter Hills.   Donna and Tom  visited her faithfully.   Her missions of love were faithfully attended to by Tom.   Her missions were his as well.  His job was to get her there, to be his own sweet self, then go and wander somewhere while she tended to everyone else's needs.   Donna sat with me in the hospital the last time my mom  was hospitalized.  She made me know I was not alone.  She gathered the cousins and aunts together at Russ's for many years.  Such precious memories of those meetings.  So hard to live so far away.  So sorry I could not have said good-bye.   So much love to you cousin Donna.  I can't wait to see you again.

Jim and I are saddened to hear of Donna's passing but know She is with Her Lord and Savior. Donna was a special person who always made us feel welcome. Some families are remembered by just being nice and making your feel special. Tom and Donna always did this for Jim and I when we attended Fellowship CRC and when ever we happened to run into them. Janna and Doug thoughts with you during this time. Westra family, may God provide many cherished memories of Donna.  

Donna was a great person. She loved every one. Even though I never got to say goodbye, she was here for my birthday. And I think she is better off where she is in no pain.  I miss her, but I will see her in heaven. 

To the family, so sorry for your loss. Will be praying for comfort and peace for all of you.
