Doris was such a exuberant lady, full of curiosity and generosity. Whenever I talked with her, I felt her genuine interest in me and what was going on in my life. She always had questions, advice ... and food! ... at the ready, eager to share. I'm glad for the chance to know her and glad that she is now free from the constraints of a failing body. She was an icon, really, the center of her family, and she will be missed by so many. My thoughts and prayers are with all who loved her.

When I was little, I once asked my grandma if there would be bathrooms in heaven. Her reply was that if we needed them, they'd be there. Love you, Grammy, and now you know for sure!

Although I never met Doris..... As an Employee of Gordon Food Service As a Person with Strong Beliefs.... As a Person Who Values Life.....As well as Great Memories and Recognition of those we love and cherish...for those that we have lost... My Heart and Prayers Go out to the family and friends that Doris touched through her full and I am sure loving 94 years on this earth. All the Best to the Entire Gordon Family... Best....Rob

I remember when I was in high school how Doris and Frank came together after each tragically lost their spouses. I also served with Doris as a member of the Board of Directors of the Christian Counseling Center in Grand Rapids. I wish comfort and peace for the family, knowing she has gone home to the Lord she loved.
