Born on January 3, 1927, she was the youngest daughter of Corneil and Edith Redder of Fremont, MI. After WW2 she met and married Howard Allen. They moved to Grand Rapids where she worked for Bell Telephone until the birth of their daughter, Barbara (Allen) Kuyper. Doris was a kind, generous, spunky lady who loved to golf and spend time outdoors. She had a heart for her God and was a devoted wife and incredible mother. Her three grandsons brought her great joy and she spent many hours fishing with them and enjoying picnic lunches alongside Buck Creek. After her beloved Howard passed away in 2001, she met and married James Jager. They were able to enjoy 15 wonderful years together before he passed away in 2019.
Doris is preceded in death by Howard and James; her sister, Barb Norris; brother, Robert Redder; and a dear cousin, Elwin Redder.
She is survived by her daughter and son-in-law, Barbara and Mark Kuyper; stepdaughter, Gloria (Jim) Beckstrom; a loving cousin, Linda Redder; sister-in-law, Pearl Redder; her grandsons and their beautiful wives Matthew and Maggie Kuyper, Scott and Missy Kuyper, and Alexander and Jennie Kuyper; as well as her precious great-grandchildren Lucille, Charlotte, Samuel, and Beckett.
