Dorothy Barton

Dorothy was born on April 6, 1921 in Greenville, Michigan, to Walter and Clara (Spaulding) Christensen.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Donald; her brother, Donald; and grandson, Scott Barton.

Dorothy will be lovingly remembered by her daughter, Deb (Gerry) Crum; son, Daniel Barton; three grandchildren Lynette (Jamie) Paxson, Ryan (Bitsy) Crum, and Megan (Matt) Short; several precious great-grandchildren and one great-great-granddaughter.

Dorothy loved being a housewife, Mom, and serving those who God brought across her path at church. She was involved with her children in scouting activities and helped lead the senior groups at church and loved making beautiful quilts.

A celebration of life memorial service will be held at 11 AM on Monday, March 5, 2018 at Grandville Bible Church, 4122 44th St. SW, Grandville, MI 49418, with visitation one hour prior to service.

In lieu of flowers, contributions can be made in Dorothy’s memory to Grandville Bible Church or Spectrum Hospice.

The family wishes to express their deep appreciation to Spectrum Hospice for the kindness and compassion shown in the final months of Dorothy’s life.
