Dorothy Louise Kotus fell asleep on October 31, 2025, with family by her side. She was preceded in death by her parents Walter and Alice Dollahite; husband, Walter Kotus; sisters Maxine Wiejaczka, Linda Steele, and Elaine Bailey; sons-in-law Jerry Holly and James Jones; and grandson, Damon Kotus. She is survived by her sisters Callie Ruth Frazine and Ernestine Rugg; children Larry (Kathy) Kotus, Dianne (Eric) Reece, Carol Kotus, Susan Holly, Stanley Kotus, and Patricia Beckler; eight grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren; as well as many nieces, nephews, and friends.
Louise loved coffee, spending time with friends and family that she loved, and country music (as long as it was classic, or what she referred to as “real," country music). She cared deeply for others, and especially for her God, Jehovah. Because of that deep love for Jehovah and concern for others, she was moved to spend many happy years teaching others about Jehovah as well. She will be deeply missed by many friends and family who loved her.
A memorial service will be held 3:30 p.m. Saturday, November 15, 2025, at Kingdom Hall of Jehovah's Witnesses, 5425 Burlingame Ave. SW, Wyoming, MI 49519. The family welcomes memories and messages at www.cookcaresgrandville.com in their guestbook online.
