Duane A. DeVries, age 83, passed away February 21, 2022 in Grandville, Michigan. He was born July 20, 1938 in South Dakota to the late Clarence and Wilma DeVries. His wife, Bonnie, passed in June of 2019. He is survived by his children David DeVries and Laurie (Sean) Callaghan; granddaughters Calliope DeVries and Olivia DeVries; siblings Bob (Sara) DeVries and Shari (Wayne) Walton; and many nieces and nephews.
Duane loved the outdoors - he was an avid hunter and fisherman. Duane was also a supporter of the Izaak Walton League, where he spent time serving on the board as well as volunteering. Conservation was important to him. He also loved to just putter in the garage or at the family cottage. He is probably most well-known for telling really bad (groaner) jokes.
