STEBBINS - Mr. Earl Leonard Stebbins, age 78, of Grandville went to be with his Lord Wednesday August 18, 1999. Mr. Stebbins was a past Post Commander VFW #7540 of North Dorr, member of the Bishop Haas Council, Knights of Columbus #4362 and an usher at St. Pius X Catholic Church. He served his country during WW II in the Navy as a Seaman First Class. Mr. Stebbins worked as an electrician for Reynolds Metals and retired in 1987. He is survived by his wife of 52 years, Mary Kay Stebbins of Grandville; sons, James Linda Stebbins of Clarksville, Thomas Jill Stebbins of Franklin, TN, Robert and David Stebbins both of Grand Rapids; daughter Ruth Ann Stebbins of Grandville; seven grandchildren; and two great grandsons. The Mass of Christian Burial will be said 11 a.m. Saturday at St. Pius X Catholic Church with Fr. George Darling as Celebrant. Interment will follow at Woodlawn Cemetery. The family will receive relatives and friends Friday 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. with a Rosary at 7:30 p.m. at the Cook Funeral Home, 4235 Prairie SW, Grandville.
