She was preceded in death by her husband Reynold Wiest.
She is will be lovingly remembered by her children Larry (Loretta) Wiest and Bonnie (Gene) Major, her grandchildren Nick Wiest, Rachel (Dmitriy Kostyuchenko) Wiest, Dr. Tiffany (Dr. Sean Minnich), Dr. Timothy Major, and Dr. Todd Major; her sister Lorena Boersma; sister-in-law Lillian DeBree; and many nieces and nephews.
The Mass of Christian burial will be held 11 a.m. Monday, January 23, 2017 at St. Mary’s Visitation Church, 2459 - 146th Ave, Byron Center. The family will receive relatives and friends Sunday from 5 - 8 p.m. at the Cook Funeral Home, Byron Center Chapel, 2067 84th St. and one hour prior to Mass Monday at church.
