Please accept my condolences upon the passing of your wife, mother, and grandmother Elaine. I have wonderful memories of her as we worked together in Reformed Church Women on the Synod of Michigan level. She was so creative, so easy to get along with, had a good sense of humor, and so willing to share her deep faith with women from the various areas of our Synod. It was great to have her serve on our synod board and we all got to love her. Unfortunately, we were out of town for our 25th Wedding Anniversary this past weekend only to receive a phone call from Cyndi's mom informing us of your mom's death. To The Family of Elaine J. Groendyk:
 Death is such an enemy of life. But the Bible holds out a promise from God at Acts 24:14, and it reads: and I have hope toward God, which hope these men themselves also entertain, that there is going to be a resurrection of both the righteous and the unrighteous. So, although your loved ones has closed their eyes in death, the Bible lets us know that there is going to be a resurrection. I hope your family find this passage of some encouragement. My condolences.
