I sat next to Eric at work. At that time my daughter was going to school at MSU so needless to say, we had our fair share of heated discussions. One year I drew his name for Secret Santa. We gave little trinkets randomly prior to the actual gift giving/revealing day. As hard as it was, all the items I gave him had a U of M theme. I loved it because he was so happy every time he found something on his desk and he had NO idea they were coming from me. Then, one day, he showed up at work with a MSU blanket his mom had made for me. I was floored! To have him do that showed what a big heart he had. Eric, here's to you...GO BLUE!!!

I worked with Eric at two different employers.
He was the kind of person that made a stressful work environment fun.

I watched him grow from a care free bachelor when he started at Sprint, then later into a loving husband and father.

I will remember Eric as a man that loved his wife, kids and anything U of M. Godspeed Eric. My thoughts and prayers go with you and to your wife, children and family.

My memories of this dude all stem from getting to know him from work. Man, I am glad I got to. Had all of us laughing all day long, making hard call center collections so much less painful. He was always so much fun, always showed up, always cracking jokes, and also was low key so kind and listened to people. He loved Katy and when she got pregnant with Madison he NEVER stopped talking about being a dad. He transitioned into such a wonderful family man. As we all got more adulty in our careers, our conversations weren’t as frequent but he always made it a point to say hi , brag about his family , and say something crazy. My heart goes out to his mom, Katy, and the children. Rest Easy man.
