I was so sorry to hear that you lost a loved one in death. It seems so unfair that death should have the power to take away someone you love. And when it happens, the thought of never again being able to talk to, laugh with, or hold your loved one can be most difficult to bear. When my mother died a few years ago I felt that my life had ended. I missed her so much and still do. That pain is not necessarily erased by being told that your loved one is up in heaven. What gave me comfort and hope is looking at the example of Jesus Christ when he was on earth. Seeing how much he cared for people then and now helped me to get through this difficult time. Yes, Jesus Christ promised that millions now dead will live again on this earth and have the prospect of remaining on it forever under peaceful, paradisaic conditions. Revelation 21:3, 4

Ardis is not in good heath so we could not make the trip from Florida for the funeral. Our thoughts and prayers are with Pauline and the children in this season of sadness. We know he is in the everlasting arms of our Lord and so we can rejoice. Ernie was always a great family member and a wonderful family man. He was a man of "character" in every sense of the word. I will miss my brother greatly.
