Ethel “Mickey” Adeline Campbell, age 88, went to be with her Lord on Sunday, June 13, 2021. Mickey was preceded in death by her first husband, Harold Brown; second husband, John Campbell; son, Scott Brown; parents Nicholas and Viola Matzen; sister, Lyola Malone; four brothers Lonnie Matzen, Albert Matzen, Forrest Matzen, and Robert Matzen. She will be remembered by her three children Lisa (Michael) Guthrie, Vickie (Garland) Henley, and Barry (Jolie Mosser) Brown; two granddaughters Sharla Rhea and Hayleigh Brown; one great-granddaughter, Vivian West; six siblings Dixie Huyser, Wanda (Darryll) Chitwood, Cheri Scott, Carolyn Matzen, Steven (Judy) Matzen, and Nancy Matzen; seven stepchildren John Campbell Jr., Debbie Campbell, Kathy May, Joan Buckner, Sandy Theisen, William Campbell, and Michael Campbell; and many nieces, nephews, and friends.
Mickey was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother. She was a military wife for many years; she could pack up a household with precision and pass the military’s white glove inspection. She was the undisputed garage sale queen. She affected everyone with whom she came into contact and never knew a stranger.
A Celebration of Mickey’s Life will take place from 2-3 p.m. Friday, June 18, 2021 at the Cook Memorial Chapel (East building), 4235 Prairie St. SW, Grandville, MI 49418.
