Ethel M. De De Puit

Mrs. De Puit had retired as City Clerk after 25 years of service with the City of Grandville. She enjoyed traveling and was involved with many community activities, as well as having been an active member of her church for over 60 years.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Robert; and her sister Donna Spychal.

She will be dearly missed by her daughters, Judith Ronald Schuitman of Grandville, Patricia Peter VanTil of Hudsonville, and Barbara Larry Grasman also of Hudsonville. Also surviving are her grandchildren, Laurel Doug Cushman, Stacey Greg Gkekas, Jeffrey VanTil and Christopher VanTil; her great grandchildren, Lindsae Cushman, Ryan Cushman, Desi Cushman, Paige Gkekas, Madison Gkekas, Marisa VanTil, Mason VanTil and Christian VanTil; her sister Betty Robert Bulliment of Jenison; brother-in-law Harold Maggie Bulliment; sister-in-law, Madeline De Puit; nieces and nephews, Sharon Van Dam, James Bulliment, Tom De Puit, Robert Bulliment Jr., Diane Gebhard, Laurie Brouwer, David Bulliment, Mary Hartsuiker, Kathe Stewart and Sueanne Johnson.

The family wishes to give a special thank you to Georgetown Manor for their loving and tender care and the Visiting Nurse Hospice organization.

The funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. on Tuesday, March 16th at the Grandville First Reformed Church, 3060 Wilson SW, with Rev. Doug Van Bronkhorst and Rev. Michael Painter officiating.

Interment will be in Grandville Cemetery.

Relatives and friends may meet her family on Monday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. at the Cook Funeral Home west building 4235 Prairie St. SW in Grandville and on Tuesday from 10 a.m. until the time of service at the church.

In lieu of flowers, contributions in memory of Mrs. De Puit may be made to the Make-A-Wish Foundation.
