Evelyn L. Bekkering

She is survived by her husband of 55 years, John; daughters, Julie Hoffman of Wyoming and Laurie Richter of Holland; grandchildren, Sue Fred Ferreyra, Rick Kerri Hoffman and Jon and Joe Richter; four great grandchildren; sisters and brother, Barbara Richard Talbott, Ken Cheri Brookhouse, and Sandra Mendham; brothers-in-law, Jim Chris Bekkering and Dick Dottie Bekkering; also surviving are several nieces and nephews.

The funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. on Friday, September 27 from the West 44th Street Christian Reformed Church, 1029 44th St. SW, with Rev. Hank Vlaardingerbroek officiating.

Interment will be in Georgetown Cemetery.

The family will meet with relatives and friends on Thursday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. at the Cook Funeral Home west building 4235 Prairie St. SW in Grandville.

Memorial contributions may be made to Hospice of Michigan or the South Christian High School Expansion Fund.
