Florence C. Harris

HARRIS - Florence C. Harris, age 96, passed away January 4, 2001 and went to be with her Lord. Florence was the activities director at Pilgrim Manor, a life long member of East Congregational Church of Christ where she was also involved in the Sychar Circle. Mrs. Harris also worked at the Board of Education and belonged to the M.E.S.A.

Florence was preceded in death by her husband Dewey; two sons, Rodger and Wayne Harris; and baby Robert Harris. She is survived by one son William Lorraine Harris; one daughter Ann Ogilvie; one daughter-in-law Pricilla Harris; 11 grandchildren; many great grandchildren; one sister-in-law Alice Harris; many nieces and nephews.

A memorial service will be held Tuesday 1 p.m. from the East Congregational Church of Christ - Klise Chapel 1005 Giddings SE, Grand Rapids, with Rev. Brian C. Byrne officiating. Interment Jefferson Memorial Park. Memorial contributions may be made to Pilgrim Manor. Those unable to attend the service may sign the family's memory book at www.cookfuneralhome.com.
