VOLKERS - Mr. Francis J. Volkers, age 80 of Wyoming, went to be with his Lord Sunday, October 10, 1999. He is survived by his wife Sophia Volkers; children, Dale Volkers, Joy and Paul Phalen; seven grandchildren; sister Edna Rutgers; brothers, Justin Volkers and Charles Volkers; his sisters-in-law and brothers-in-law, Hazel Volkers, Gertrude Holtgeerts, Josephine Boerman, Frances Lohman, Lloyd and Pearl Riemersma, Vickie Dekker, Louis VanVels, Bill and Hildred Cardill; and several nieces and nephews. Funeral service will be held 2 p.m. Wednesday from Cook Memorial Chapel east building, 4235 Prairie SW, Grandville, with Rev. Will Clegg officiating. Burial Grandville Cemetery. The family will receive relatives and friends Tuesday 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. at Cook Funeral Home west building. Memorial contributions may be made to the charity of one's choice.
