Frank E. Vander Voord

He was born February 2, 1928 in Grand Rapids, Michigan to Frank and Elsa (Olson) Vander Voord.

Frank is survived by his wife of 69 years, Barbara “Bobbie”; his children Susan (Larry) Philp, James (Marianne) Vander Voord, Tom (Sandy) Vander Voord, Mary (Jim) Fues and Sally (Don) Nicewander; 14 grandchildren; 15 great-grandchildren; his brother Gerald Vander Voord and sister-in-law Phyllis Vander Voord along with several nieces, nephews and extended relatives. Frank was preceded in death by his parents and two brothers, Royce and Roger.

Memorial services for Frank will be 11:30 a.m. Monday, May 22, 2017 at the Cook Funeral Home – Byron Center Chapel, 2067 84th St., S.W., Byron Center, Michigan. A private family interment will be in Winchester Cemetery at a later date. Frank’s family will meet with friends and relatives from 10:30 a.m. until the time of service Monday at the funeral home.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be directed to Carlisle United Methodist Church or Spectrum Health Hospice.
