He is survived by his wife of 32 years Nancy; his children, Duane Kerkstra, Brenda Kochnef, John and Cindy Wheeler, Tina Wheeler, Brian and Laura Wheeler; 12 grandchildren; several nieces and nephews.
Private service will be held. The family will meet relatives and friends Tuesday 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. from the Cook Funeral Home - Grandville, 4235 Prairie St. SW west building. Memorial contributions may be left to the American Heart Association or American Cancer Society.
