He was preceded in death by his parents Frederick August Smith Sr. and Mildred Smith.
He will be remembered by his siblings Barbara (Jerry) Price, Roger (Laura) Smith and Kenneth Smith; significant other Deb Fortney and daughter Jenny; and many nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be held from 5 - 8 p.m. Wednesday, April 5, 2017 at Cook Funeral Home, 2067 84th Street, SW, Byron Center, MI 49315. Funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. Thursday, April 6, 2017 at Cook Funeral Home, Byron Center, MI. Pastor Larry Miller will be officiating. Interment will be at Salem Township Cemetery.
