Gary W. Jenkins

JENKINS - Gary Wayne Jenkins, age 48 of Indianapolis, IN, formerly of Wyoming, passed away unexpectedly on Tuesday morning, January 9, 2001. Gary was a wonderful, loving son, brother, uncle and friend. He was preceded in death by his loving mother Hazel M. Jenkins nee Drew. He is survived by his father Robert D. Margaret Jenkins of Grand Rapids; brother Robert A. Vanessa Jenkins of Rocky Mount, NC; sister Gail M. Jenkins-Jordan fiancAC. Craig Kreger of Grandville; nieces and nephews, Nathan and Amber Jenkins of Rocky Mount, NC, Chad and Curt Jordan of Grandville; great-niece Hailey Jenkins; grandmother Agnes Drew. He is also remembered and greatly loved by his “work family” at the Indiana Members Credit Union; and many special, close, dear friends. Gary was a branch manager of I.M.C.U. for the past 19 years at the College Park Branch in Indianapolis, IN. He was a member at the Broadway United Methodist Church in Indianapolis, and graduated from Western Michigan University. Gary was a very active member and served as former treasurer of the Mapleton & Fall Creek Neighborhood. Funeral service will be held at 12 p.m. Sunday at the Cook Memorial Chapel east building 4235 Prairie St. SW. The family will receive relatives and friends Saturday 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. at the Cook Funeral Home west building in Grandville. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Arthritis Foundation.
